About a week ago a friend and I were trying to decide how to decorate for our Relief Society Birthday Party dinner. We wanted to give each sister a gift to take home and remind them of our wonderful evening. We had a delicious dinner and afterward the newly called 2nd counselor for the Payson, Utah LDS Temple and his wife spoke to us. They are our neighbors and good friends, and I've known them my entire life!
There are 120 sisters in our ward so we were trying to think simple and cheap! We ended up on the cheap end for sure, but not so simple!
Three of us spent quite a few hours collecting, sanding, painting, mod podging and tying and this is what we came up with. We used this template because I knew I wouldn't have time to design it for less!
On the other side is a picture of the Payson, Utah LDS Temple that I took. They can turn it around depending on what they want to see. If you want to purchase this picture click here!
I also made these to decorate the food tables. We tied balloons to them for the "birthday" part of the dinner!
The whole time we were making these I couldn't help but smile. It was because I knew we were making something they would all love and cherish.
